Scaffolding Accessories Checklist for Construction Projects
An organised purchase list reduces missed accessories and incompatible replacements. Build the list from the competent designer’s scaffold or formwork plan, then separate every size and configuration into its own order line.
Group the requirement by function
Start with base and support components, then list tubes or system members, connection hardware, platforms and formwork ties. Include the matching nuts, plates and locking parts required by the specified system.
For cuplock procurement, identify vertical lengths, horizontal bay dimensions, cup positions and connection compatibility. For tube-and-coupler work, identify the actual tube dimensions and fixed or swivel connection requirements.
| Group | Items to check | Key order detail |
|---|---|---|
| Base and support | Base jacks, U-heads, base plates, props | Type, dimensions, extension and design requirement |
| Connections | Fixed/swivel couplers, girder clamps, joint pins | Actual mating dimensions and selected model |
| Formwork ties | Tie rods, wing/anchor nuts, waller plates | Thread compatibility and quantities |
| Cuplock | Verticals, horizontals, cups and blades | System dimensions and connections |
| Platforms | Walkway chali and securing components | Span, width, support and duty requirement |
Make every order line unambiguous
A description such as ‘heavy jack’ or ‘standard coupler’ leaves important details unresolved. List the dimensions, type, finish, quantity and documentation requirement. Where an item replaces existing stock, attach a photograph with a scale or measured dimensions.
- Use separate quantities for each size and model.
- State pieces, metres, kilograms or boxes clearly.
- Confirm whether nuts, pins, washers or fittings are included.
- Identify required manufacturer and test documentation.
- Add the required dispatch date and delivery location.
Check the quote before confirming
Compare the supplied dimensions and quantities against the project list. Confirm substitutions with the responsible designer rather than accepting a similar appearance as proof of compatibility.
Send your consolidated requirement to TSC’s Parrys team for a wholesale quotation. Current stock, packing, delivery and selected specification are confirmed before the order proceeds. This checklist supports purchasing; it is not a complete scaffold design or safety inspection.
Product checklist based on the TSC master scaffolding catalogue. Final component selection follows the project’s approved design and manufacturer requirements.
